Italicus was created by Italian bartender and drinks professional Giuseppe Gallo to revive the historic rosolio category. Rosolio was once known in 18th century Italy as an “aperitivo di corte,” or court aperitivo, and the word is tied to “ros olis,” meaning “morning dew.” Italicus builds that heritage around Calabrian bergamot and a modern cocktail-focused style.
