Paolo Lazzaroni & Figli is one of Saronno’s historic names, with roots in the town’s famous amaretti cookie tradition. The family began small-scale production of Amaretti di Saronno pastries in the early 18th century, then launched Amaretto Lazzaroni in 1851. Unlike many almond-style liqueurs, Lazzaroni is built around its own cookie infusion, giving it a direct connection to Saronno’s confectionery heritage.

Lazzaroni Amaretto is a strong fit for an Amaretto Sour with fresh lemon juice, simple syrup, and egg white. Its cookie-based almond flavor gives the cocktail a richer pastry note than basic amaretto, while the lemon keeps the drink tart, lifted, and balanced.
